Retired Army leaders praise Roger Williams’ commitment to national security.

Austin — Retired Army Lt. General Marc Cisneros today joined retired Army Sgt. First Class Dana Bowman in endorsing Roger Williams for the United States Senate.

“I am impressed with Roger Williams’ high degree of personal integrity and his dedication to national security,” Cisneros said in making the announcement. “I have known him personally for years. And I know he will always put our national security first.”

“I am proud to endorse Roger Williams for Senate,” added Bowman. “He is a man who knows that a dangerous world requires strong American leadership. We need Roger Williams in the Senate.”

Cisneros retired after a distinguished career of more than 30 years in the military. A native Texan, he is perhaps best known for his involvement in Operation Just Cause, the campaign that captured Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega.

Bowman suffered a training accident as a member of the elite Army Golden Knights parachute team. Yet he re-enlisted in the military and today is a world-famous motivational speaker.

“I know that the first order of business for the federal government is to protect our country,” Williams said in accepting the endorsement. I am proud to have these two decorated veterans standing with me in this campaign. In the U.S. Senate, I will make sure that our national defense is strong and Americans are protected. I look forward to working with them to make our nation stronger and our world safer.”
